It's been a long time since the last time we've caught up with each other since college year started... Today, July 7, 2015, we finally got that chance!! Since the weather here in Manila is hot, like most of the time, my friends and I decided to eat ice cream at Outre - an ice cream parlor in BF Parañaque that serves ice cream with liquid nitrogen.
While we're on our way to the ice cream parlor, we were expecting for long queue, but by the time we arrived, thank God, there were none - I'm guessing it was because all of the schools around it were still having classes.
Since there was no one around besides us and the staff, we grabbed the opportunity to take pictures and goof around the place.
After hours (joking) minutes of having fun and catching up with each other, we finally decided to order ice cream, yey! Since it was the first time for all of us, we didn't have any idea on what to order, we kept on asking each other what are they going to order and we ended up ordering the same flavour - cookie monster - expect from Wency - the girl on the left from the photo above. She ended up ordering Vegemite.
The ambiance of the place was so relaxing and they serve really fast for an ice cream parlor that serves ice cream with a twist. Not only that, the price of the ice cream is very affordable, even students like us can afford it; 150.00 php for a cup full of ice cream. And if you're wondering if they also serve snacks, yes, they do serve pastas, side dishes and salads.
But unfortunately we didn't get the chance to try their side dishes, because that time we were all craving for burger and that's the reason why we headed to The Burgery - a 5-10 minute walk from Outre.
Then again, the place wasn't on their full house, there were only 4 other customers, the staff and us that were in the place. Me, Charlene and Joey ordered Big Al - burger served with cheese and bacon. While Wency and Gecca - the "risk takers" - tried a different burger. While we were consuming our meal, the rain started to pour down, and since we didn't bring any car, we asked Charlene's older brother to pull us out from the place.. hehehe. It was really nice catching up with them and reminiscing the good old high school days.
And guys, here's a tip: Don't go to establishments near schools after school hours, go there while the classes are still ongoing so you don't have to wait in a long queue line and you can own the place; but don't cut classes hehehehe :)
Special thanks to Wency for letting me borrow her phone to take pictures.
